For today, it was a fantastic ride with the weather holding up and the amazing white peaks of the cordillera Blanca all around you ….

The highest tunnel in the world was wet, slippery and dark especially since I forgot to take the sunglasses off 😂😂

Here some shots of today 👇

The map showed some hectic twisties which I wondered how it would feel like driving them – almost got sea sick 😂😂😂

This is the north loop which I’m doing now. Compared to the south loop it is more rugged, no garbage, the highest peaks of Peru and no tourists…..very remote and you sometimes don’t see people for a looooong time

But then again you have the Peruvian farmers in the most unexpected areas and altitudes

Around zero on the passes to 20 degrees in the valleys

Very lucky with almost no rain apart from an occasional small drizzle

And my hotel for the night is cool. I’m the only guest and the main door to the room is in two parts like that of a stable 🤩👇

Yesterday night I treated myself with an upgrade in the hotel room and paid USD 21 instead of USD 18 for a Mountain View 👇😉The night was not so easy since at 3540m you tend to wake up looking for oxygen . But in the morning a literally fresh day 👇 started for new...
